Nostalgia Festival Was a Great Success!

The Nostalgia Festival at Kurri Kurri was a really good success with DJ Gav Bean kicking off the opening of the festival with lots of Rock and Roll music from the 50,s and 60's eara with a background history on some of the songs he was playing. This was at Kurri Kurri Rotary Park with a free sausage sizzle for all those early arrivals to the festival. Gav Bean went on to be the DJ host for both of the venues held at Weston Workers on Fiday and Saturday night.

People came as far away as Brisbane, Woolongong and Melbourne. They came from everywhere for this annual festival. Last year the Kurri Nostalgia Festival grossed over 3 million dollars and the festival has been running for the past 7 years. The next festival in March 2011 should be even better, it grows in strength each year.

There was lots of old cars on display and loads of stalls to see and even a talent quest that the judges said was hard to pick a winner. The bus trip to the vineyards was popular, there was so many things to see and do.

Might be a good idea if you are coming to this festival next year to book into a motel early, so you can have a place to sleep both Friday and Saturday night.

See you at the next one!
